Online Notepad provides a clean, distraction-free text editing environment in the browser with automatic localStorage persistence so notes are never lost between sessions. Unlike generic text editors, it supports multiple named notes with auto-generated titles from the first line, a word and character count status bar, font family and size controls, a find and replace toolbar, and an optional Markdown preview panel for technical notes. Notes are saved every 2 seconds automatically with a quiet saved indicator so you always know your work is preserved without manual saving.

   Start typing

   The editor is ready immediately. Your first line becomes the note title.

   Click New Note to start a second note. Switch between notes from the sidebar.
